Foundations Package – Installation Engineer

Parkwind NV is a leading company in Europe in the field of developing, building and running offshore wind farms. The Parkwind team has developped, arranged financing and constructed Belwind I (156 MW), Northwind (216 MW) and Nobelwind (165 MW). The Parkwind team is also managing the operational maintenance of these plants. With several other projects in its development portfolio, Parkwind is a strong and growing player in the offshore energy production.
The current shareholders of Parkwind are Colruyt Group, Korys NV (the investment holding of the Colruyt family) and the Flemish investment fund PMV.

For the construction of our current and future offshore wind farms, we are looking for an Installation Engineer to reinforce our Foundations Package team.


As Installation Engineer, you will:

  • Analyze potential installation methodologies in function of the specific site conditions at our parks under development (heavy lift operations, floating installation,…);
  • Review method statement and interact with installation contractor during preparation meetings to assure compliance with the Employer’s Requirements;
  • Assist setting the Employer’s Requirements and scope related to offshore installation, site investigation and interface with other packages and departments;
  • Provide support to the prequalification and tender selection process of installation and site investigation contractors;
  • Follow up of the different tenders issued for offshore installation (foundations, WTG, cables)
  • Follow up on the offshore execution phases of our site investigation campaigns and construction projects with occasional site visits;
  • Keep track of and implementation lessons learned;
  • Interface between the different scopes, packages or contracts;
  • Support the business development with technical review of novel technologies and concepts.
  • Estimate installation schedules, analyze/validate metocean data and perform workability studies;


Flexibility (in both directions) will be a large part of your function. You will have the opportunity to perform site visits (and occasionally you will have to travel, in Belgium as well as abroad).

Requirements

Your profile:


  • Master degree in structural, naval engineering or equivalent through experience
  • Experience in the field of offshore wind or offshore installation works
  • Ability to work independently and strong problem-solving attitude
  • Pro-active mentality, keeping track of and pushing the state-of-the-art
  • You are driven, pragmatic and solution-oriented
  • You are a team player and have the necessary communication skills
  • Ability to manage own workload and meet demanding timescales
  • You are fluent in English, fluency in Dutch, French is a plus
  • Software knowledge in MS Office, matlab
