Parkwind is continuously looking for motivated employees who want to grow and develop together with the company. For the development and construction of our current and future offshore wind farms, we are currently looking for a WTG Project Lead to reinforce our Technology department.


Your role:

As a WTG Project Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and Managing the WTG project scope for an offshore wind farm under development
  • Organize Tenders for Turbine Supply and Turbine Maintenance Contracts
  • Organize and Lead contract negotiations for Turbine Supply and Turbine Maintenance Contracts, and bring them to contract signature.
  • Carefully and diligently safeguard that the WTG Contactor is fulfilling all its obligation and delivers its scope in accordance to the Turbine Supply and Installation Contract
  • Ensure the works are executed safely, delivered promptly, on schedule, within the budget and according to high quality standards
  • Organize and lead WTG progress meetings with the WTG contractor
  • Identify and manage the interfaces between the WTG package and other packages
  • Identify resource needs for the execution of the WTG project scope
  • Manage, in close cooperation with the relevant Parkwind departments, the resolution of any technical, commercial, contractual or legal matter under the WTG Supply and Installation Contract, including scope gaps, variation orders and claims
  • Ensure and Enforce compliance with Parkwind processes, policies and philosophy
  • Proactively identify, quantify and manage risks
  • Continuously control and report progress, time and cost
  • Secure the implementation of Lessons Learned, take the lead in capturing new Lessons Learned and ensure cross-package cooperation and knowledge sharing
  • Seek and strive for continuous improvement, including cross-packages optimization
  • Be proactive on Safety and Quality and take initiatives to secure and increase the Safety and Quality standards within the internal and external activities
  • Actively participate in project Management Team Meetings and provide input to the monthly Board Meetings
  • Maintain a good and strong working relationship with the WTG contractor and the contractors’ project team
  • Act as the formal commercial interface towards various contractors
  • Close out of the project and ensuring a smooth handover to the Operations & Maintenance department

Requirements

Your profile:

  • Master’s Degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Marine Engineering)
  • 5 years’ experience in the (offshore) wind industry
  • Proven experience in project management and contract management
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with Contractors
  • Quality and Safety mindset with knowledge of QHSSE legislation associated with construction projects
  • Fluent knowledge of English, written as well as spoken (French, German and Dutch are a plus)
  • You are a motivated team player, diligent and possess a high integrity
  • You are able to combine theory with practice
  • You are pro-active and have a problem-solving attitude
  • You are able to manage your own workload and meet demanding timelines
  • You are able to travel regularly (within and outside Europe)
