Considering its further international business expansion, Parkwind is looking to enlarge its Foundation Package with a Foundation Package Manager.

The Foundation Package Manager has the overall responsibility for the foundation package, which entails the design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, and handing-over to the O&M Department of all foundations or substructures for the WTG’s and/or substation on the SNII project.

 

Leading a team of Package Engineers, procurement and technical experts assigned to the project, the Foundation Package Manager is responsible for the technical and economical feasibility and efficiency of both the EPCI process and the resulting asset. He/she will coordinate with the various technical and supporting departments such as QHSSE, contracting, O&M, finance, project-control, etc. and ensure that all interfaces are diligently dealt with.

 

The FND Package Manager plays a key role in making sure all activities and operations in which Parkwind is involved are carried out in a safe, socially and environmentally responsible way. Safety, respect and leading by example are central values.

 

The Foundation Package Manager is part of the technical management team lead by the EPCI Project Manager and in cooperation with the WTG Package Manager and the Electrical Package Manager, they are ultimately responsible for the successful physical completion of the SNII offshore windfarm.

Your Role:

Scope description

·        Secure progress, optimization and documentation of the foundations engineering and procurement in alignment with the business objectives of the project.

·        Manage the time, budget, scope, quality, risk, safety and resources for the project members within the package Management Teams.

·        Leading a team of package engineers, commercial and technical experts.

·        Proposing and establishing the procurement strategy within the foundations discipline.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

·        Responsible for a team of package engineers, commercial and technical experts.

·        Align the technical package scope with the commercial, contracting and consenting constraints.  

·        Proactively ensure that project interfaces within the technical package are under control, properly allocated and managed.

·        Steer the (Front-End) Engineering and design work.

·        Define project scope and scope demarcation within the foundation discipline

·        Write the recommendations on choices between solutions and suppliers and report them to the EPCI Project Manager; provide input to other recommendations.

·        Ensure that contracts are timely secured, managed proactively and the supplied scope and services are carefully and diligently checked to be in compliance with the requirements and specifications, and in collaboration with the Commercial & Contracting team.

·        Review key deliverables from the Package Management Team.

·        Propose, establish and follow-up on the project procurement strategy within the foundation package, with input from the Package Management team and the EPCI Project Manager.

·        Take on the role of 2nd line negotiator in the various negotiations within the procurement process.

·        Take on the role of 2nd line negotiator in disputes with contractors and suppliers.

·        Establish the budget (DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX) within its discipline and report this to the EPCI Project Manager.

·        Follow-up on the budget of the Package and report regularly budget updates to the EPCI Project Manager.

·        Establish the overall Package schedule from early development to full completion. The schedule is implemented by the Planner.

·        Follow-up the Package schedule and take necessary actions if deviations occur.

·        Identify resource needs and ensure that resource plan for the Package is established and kept up to date in consultation with their Capability Pool Manager

·        Take on a proactive role in identifying and controlling risks and ensure risks within the technical scope are assessed, managed and mitigated.

·        Assure all activities and operations are carried out in a safe, socially and environmentally responsible way.

·        Review and/or approve Employer Requirements and contract documents

·        You will report to the EPCI Project Manager.

Job requirements

Your profile

·        Demonstrated experience in foundation package management for offshore wind projects

·        Strong affinity with the with the offshore wind industry

·        Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent through experience

·        Ability to work independently and problem-solving attitude.

·        You are driven, pragmatic and solution-oriented

·        You have a hands-on mentality

·        You are a team player and have the necessary communication skills

·        Ability to manage own workload and meet demanding timescales.

·        You are fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is highly appreciated.
