PRIVACY POLICY

To use the Recruitee Platform / the careers website (“Recruitee”), personal data about the user (the “Data Subject”) will need to be collected and used. This Privacy Policy sets out the obligations of Parkwind NV (“Parkwind”) (see details below) and the rights of the Data Subjects regarding any such collection and use and provides the legally required information in this respect.

Identity of the person responsible for the personal data of the Data Subject

Parkwind is the so-called “Data Controller”, which is responsible for the collection and processing of personal data as is necessary for the use of Recruitee.

Why and how personal data is collected and used

The personal data will be collected through the information / documentation provided by the Data Subject through or by using Recruitee. It will be used by Parkwind exclusively for the purposes of facilitating recruitment and managing recruitment processes.

The Data Controller and any data processor will collect and process the Data Subjects’ personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Nature of the personal data

The following personal data relating to the Data Subjects will be collected and used:

  • contact details (name(s), private/professional (e-mail) addresses / phone number(s));
  • personal characteristics (i.e. place and date of birth, nationality, gender), if included in the CV of the Data Subject;
  • picture or video, if provided by the Data Subject; and
  • any other personal information included in the Data Subject’s e-mail communication through Recruitee, his/her cover letter, his/her résumé or in any other documentation or information provided by the Data Subject through or by using Recruitee.
  • Recruitee – Recruitee, as processor, will collect and process the following personal data: (i) traffic source (device, browser, IP address), (ii) HTTP requests and responses, (iii) cookies, including tracking cookies, (iv) date and time of usage of Recruitee, (v) behavior on Recruitee, and (vi) all additional data necessary to ensure the well-functioning of Recruitee. Recruitee can only use such personal data when the data have been anonymised in order to improve and monitor its services, the platform and the careers website. Recruitee is bound by a Data Processing Agreement with the Data Controller.
  • Indeed – Indeed, as data controller and processor, will collect and process the personal data of the Data Subject on pages where Recruitee displays a button to ‘Apply with Indeed’, even when the Data Subject does not use that functionality. To allow for the ‘Apply with Indeed’ functionality, the personal data of the Data Subject will also be processed by Indeed. Indeed may use cookies. The Data Subject can find its privacy policy on the following website: https://www.indeed.com/legal.
  • LinkedIn – To allow for the ‘Apply with LinkedIn’ functionality, the personal data of the Data Subject will also be collected and processed by LinkedIn, as data controller and processor. LinkedIn may use cookies. The Data Subject can find its privacy policy on the following website: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Other persons having access to personal data and purpose thereof

The personal data shall never be used for other reasons than for the above indicated purposes and shall be treated as confidential information. The personal data of the Data Subject are stored within the European Union. No transfer of personal data by Parkwind to third countries will happen without appropriately informing the Data Subject thereof in advance.

Legal basis for allowing Parkwind to collect and use personal data

By registering on Recruitee, the Data Subject will be asked to give his/her specific consent to the collection and processing of his/her personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. This consent will be relied upon by the Data Controller as the justification for collecting and using personal data.

Furthermore, the Data Controller may also rely on its legitimate interest for recruitment, contract management and reporting purposes as the justification for collecting and using personal data.

Rights of the Data Subject

The Data Subject can exercise his/her right to request access to and rectification or erasure (“right to be forgotten”) of his/her personal data or restriction of processing concerning the Data Subject or to object to processing as well as the right to data portability by sending a request to gdpr@parkwind.eu. The Data Subject can also manage and update his/her personal data via his/her profile on Recruitee.

The Data Subject may withdraw his/her consent for the processing of his/her personal data in the context of (the use of) Recruitee at any time but should be aware that such processing is a prerequisite for further use of Recruitee. Even in the case the use thereof has ended because of the withdrawal of consent, the Data Controller may still need to process personal data after such withdrawal of consent to comply with its legal obligations. Such withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness if processing based on consent before its withdrawal. The Data Subject can exercise this withdrawal right by sending a request to gdpr@parkwind.eu or by deleting of his/her account on Recruitee.

Finally, if the Data Subject has any requests or questions with regard to (the processing of) his/her personal data or if he/she is not satisfied with how the Data Controller or data processors processes his/her personal data, he/she may contact the Data Controller via gdpr@parkwind.eu. He/she also has the right to make a complaint to the competent supervisory authority.

Storage of personal data

Personal data provided by the Data Subject will be kept as long as his/her profile on Recruitee is active.
