Since 2023 Parkwind has been wholly owned by JERA, the Japanese energy group that is one of the world’s largest electricity producers. It is now part of JERA Nex, JERA’s renewable energy subsidiary. JERA Nex and Parkwind are instrumental parts of JERA’s “JERA Zero CO2 Emissions 2050” objective, under which it aims to achieve zero CO2 emissions from its business both in Japan and overseas by 2050 through complementary renewables and zero-emission thermal power plants. The combined synergies of Parkwind and JERA Nex' will contribute enormously to realizing the "JERA Zero CO2 Emissions 2050" ambition, and growing as a global company capable of solving the world’s energy challenges, leading the way to creating a zero-carbon society.
