In light of further international expansion of its business, Parkwind is looking for an O&M WTG Asset Management Engineer to reinforce our team located in Ostend.

In this role, you will have the responsibility to ensure optimal operations of the windfarm Northwester2, located in the Belgium North Sea, where you will go offshore to follow-up on works. Your focus will lay on the Northwester 2 windfarm, but assistance to the colleagues managing other windfarms and/or campaigns will be required from time to time. For the O&M operations on Northwester2, you can rely on long-term contract with a service provider and cooperate with colleagues of the WTG team and other O&M teams. Furthermore, specific campaigns (yearly maintenance, blade campaign) on Northwester 2 shall be followed-up by you.

Your role:

  •        Manage the interface with the long-term service provider from both technical as contractual point of view. This includes:

o   follow-up daily activities both onshore and offshore, with occasional offshore visits

o   liaise between the service provider and other O&M teams / external parties.

o   lead monthly meetings and monitor contractual KPI’s

o   challenge the contractor with substantiated technical analysis

  •        Supervise relevant turbine and maintenance data with regards to KPI’s and technical challenges. Identify possibilities for better performance, better maintenance or better yield. Ensure punctual reporting on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly frequency for different type of stakeholders.

  •        Investigate opportunities for new turbine maintenance strategies.

  •        Manage data-analytics tools to enhance data in order to optimize operations and increase knowledge.

  •        Follow-up on works offshore.

  •        Follow-up on SCADA issues.

 

Work location: Oostende

It is required to work from the Ostend office for following reasons:

  •        The whole team managing O&M WTG operations for the Belgian sites is based in Oostende. While there is a homeworking policy, for optimal team alignment a minimum of 3 days per week in the office are expected in Oostende.

  •        Depending on necessities it can be decided last minute that candidate has to go offshore. For that flexibility it is potentially required to be able to act swiftly.

  •        Assistance on the maintenance of one GE turbine is required and can only be done from Ostend office.

  •        An important part of the job is creating understandings, not only internally but also with our main contractor. This contractor is situated next door and face to face meetings are frequently (re-)occurring.

Job requirements

Your Profile:

·        Degree in Engineering (or similar through experience).

·        Experience in working conscientiously and punctually on reporting or documentation.

·        Driven, pragmatic and solution-oriented.

·        Strong communication skills.

·        Ability to manage own workload and meet demanding timescales.

·        Fluent in English and Dutch.

·        Willingness to occasionally go offshore to the Belgian offshore windfarms.

·        Knowledge of data tools such as PowerBI, Python, etc. is a plus.

·        Experience in offshore energy, maintenance services, big data processing is a plus.

·        Social character
