As a Marine Coordinator, you’re the central onshore point for the safe organization of all offshore transfers and work vessels. Based in Oostende, you`ll perform this role in a team responsible for all projects managed by Parkwind in the Belgian North Sea and will also occasionally support out of country marine coordination activities for Parkwind. You report to the Operations and Maintenance management while bearing full administrative responsibility for the Marine coordination duties on a day to day basis.


Your job responsibilities are:

  • In the marine coordination software platform, you strictly validate all info of people and vessels going towards the offshore sites, before approving the files as complete.
  • Together with your colleagues, you keep an actual and up to date situational overview of all operations in theater.
  • You host coordination meetings where priorities are called, and interfaces identified to be truly managed to maintain an orderly safe and controlled situation offshore.
  • You will join safety inspections on vessels per prescribed vetting formats and assure safety is guarded on the quay side at all times.
  • During operational incidents and emergency situations, you will function as the single point of contact for all information and will support with suggestions and procedures to get ahead of the situation ASAP.
  • Provide general logistical support to the Parkwind O&M and Project teams.


By working in a flexible system with your colleagues you cover standby the 24/7 emergency support and actual operational support during all crucial operations offshore. This means the job includes day shifts, night shifts and weekend shifts. You will rotate in a flexible system with flexibility in return.

Your profile


  • You are polyvalent and have an administrative background or training.
  • Fluent in both English and Dutch both spoken and written.
  • You like to organize and plan and you can adapt quickly to changing situations
  • You are accurate, and you can work independently.
  • You can cope with an alternation between very busy and less intense work periods
  • You have affinity with the maritime environment
