As of July 26th, 2023 Parkwind operates as part of JERA Co., Inc. Parkwind is a green energy company that develops, finances, and operates offshore wind farms. With more than a decade of experience and 771 MW under operational management in the Belgian North Sea, Parkwind is currently expanding internationally and has an active development pipeline of 4.5GW (net) across a number of European and other markets where it is working with a number of credible partners. Parkwind is also constructing the 257MW Arcadis Ost 1 project in Germany which expected to reach full operation in 2024. We are seeking a Senior Transactions and Partnerships Officer to reinforce its business development department and work alongside some of the world’s leading offshore energy experts, while learning, growing and building a sustainable future.

Your role:


  • Expanding Parkwind’s/Jera’s presence by establishing new strategic partnerships, from identifying partners to negotiating partnership agreements, in accordance with the company’s strategy, and in close collaboration with Parkwind’s in-house legal counsel;
  • Supporting transaction processes (M&A acquisitions and divestments), in an efficient manner, from opportunity sourcing, term sheet negotiation, due diligence, negotiation of transaction documents, execution and closing, all in a timely fashion and in accordance with Parkwind’s strategy and processes;
  • Working in close collaboration with the rest of business development department, and under the guidance of the M&A Manager to ensure the structure and terms of partnerships and deals are consistent with corporate strategy;
  • Soliciting input from and ensuring alignment among internal stakeholders;
  • Representing Parkwind in interactions and negotiations with counterparties and at industry events with outstanding competence, professionalism, and integrity;
  • Monitoring and analysing industry and market trends to obtain relevant intelligence and provide strategic insights;
  • Preparing relevant internal documents and presentations for the management and/or board.


Job requirements

Your profile:


  • Team player with academic qualifications in either, finance, legal, and/or business administration;
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in either M&A, investment banking, management consulting, business development, preferably combined with a relevant experience in the renewable energy industry;
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills;
  • Sound time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills;
  • Open, problem-solving and critical mindset; ability to analyze and synthetize;
  • Strong presentation skills;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
